1X's global headquarters is in Palo Alto, California, in an 80,000 square foot facility that became operational in Summer 2025 when the company consolidated its Sunnyvale, California R&D office and its Moss, Norway operations under one roof. The 58,000 square foot plant opened in April 2026 as what 1X calls 'America's first truly vertically integrated high-volume humanoid robot factory.' It is staffed by over 200 on-site employees and currently ramping toward 10,000 NEO units annually. Consumer shipments to early-access buyers began from this facility in 2026. First-year production capacity sold out within five days of pre-orders opening in October 2025.

The Moss, Norway site is the founding location (May 2014) and continues as a secondary manufacturing hub for the Revo1 proprietary actuator platform. Moss remains important to 1X's Norwegian heritage and is close to Oslo for Scandinavian operations. A third facility in San Carlos, California is currently under construction and expected to come online in late 2026 or 2027 — together with Hayward, San Carlos is intended to bring total annual production capacity to 100,000 NEO units by end of 2027.

All executive and strategic decision-making sits in the San Francisco Bay Area — the Palo Alto HQ plus Hayward manufacturing — making this a South Bay/Peninsula territory account for enterprise SaaS, cloud, and services vendors.
