# Komo prospecting

Run signal-based prospecting end to end: ICP → people search → enrichment →
lead list → drafted outreach (staged for review) → CRM write-back. You do the
repetitive work; the human stays on every send that matters.

## When to use this skill

- The user asks to find prospects, build a lead list, or "do outbound" for a
  product or segment.
- A buying signal fired (funding round, job change, hiring spike) and the user
  wants to act on it.
- The user has a rough ICP ("Series A fintech CTOs in Europe") and wants it
  turned into people they can actually contact.

## Prerequisites

- A Komo account and API key (create one at https://app.komo.ai under
  Settings → API keys).
- The Komo MCP server connected at https://mcp.komo.ai/mcp (1,000+ sales
  tools, data sources & skills: people search, enrichment, lists, signal
  agents, campaigns, CRM, LinkedIn, inbox, usage).
- If the Komo tools are not available in this session, stop and tell the user
  how to connect them — do not improvise prospect data from memory.

## Workflow

1. **Define the ICP.** Ask for (or confirm) the target in one pass: industry,
   company size/stage, geography, titles/seniority, and the trigger that makes
   now the right time. Write it back as a one-paragraph ICP and get a yes
   before searching.
2. **Search for people.** Use Komo's people-search tools with the agreed ICP.
   Start narrow (one segment, ~25–50 people) rather than pulling thousands.
   Show a sample of 5–10 results and confirm the targeting looks right before
   going wider.
3. **Enrich.** Run Komo's enrichment on the matched people to fill in verified
   emails, roles, and company context. Flag anyone who fails verification —
   they stay off the send list.
4. **Build the list.** Create a named lead list in Komo (e.g. "Series A
   fintech CTOs — July") and add the enriched people to it. One list per
   segment, so campaign stats stay readable.
5. **Draft outreach — staged for review.** For each prospect, draft a short
   first-touch email that leads with the signal or a concrete company fact
   from enrichment (never a generic template). Stage the drafts in a Komo
   campaign in a paused/review state. Present 2–3 drafts to the user for tone
   approval before drafting the rest.
6. **Write to CRM.** Record every prospect in the Komo CRM with the list they
   belong to, the signal that qualified them, and a next step. Nothing lives
   only in the chat transcript.

## Guardrails

- **Verify before send.** Only verified email addresses go into a campaign;
  unverified contacts are flagged, not messaged.
- **Respect send caps.** Never raise sending volume or bypass per-seat and
  per-domain caps — deliverability outlives any one campaign.
- **Human approves sends.** Campaigns are created paused. The user reviews and
  launches; you never activate sending yourself.
- **Check usage.** Before large searches or enrichment runs, check credit
  usage and tell the user roughly what the operation will consume.
- **No invented data.** Every fact in an outreach draft must come from search
  or enrichment results, not from your own guesses.
